This seminar is an advanced directed study in a specialized area of sport business and society. Using articles published in peer-reviewed journals, selected topics are presented and critically discussed in a small group format led by students. The content of this course will explore a variety of issues and may vary year to year.
This seminar explores the future of sport in Canada by critically examining key issues such as safe sport, equity, governance, and participation through academic and policy perspectives. Building on this foundation, students will design and evaluate practical solutions for reform by leading discussions and developing implementation strategies for a reimagined sport system.
