In this class, students will be exposed to the basic concepts in business while discussing
increasing challenges facing administrators worldwide. As well-established business models
are gradually being revised (think of the retail industry), future business decision-makers must be aware of the threats these changes represent for most industries, as well as the
opportunities these very changes could provide.
Students will be able to experience firsthand the challenges that face managers when making decisions in regards with the many business activities that are necessary to provide goods and services that will satisfy people’s needs. To do so, students will participate in a business simulation that will help them understand and develop management skills while planning, organizing and controlling the activities of their company. They will also have to make decisions in regard with business activities such as marketing, finance, Human resources, information technology, production and operations.
