The works of writers such as Jordan Tannahill, Guillermo Verdecchia, Cliff Cardinal, Marcia Johnson, Jeff Ho, etc., have challenged domestic and international audiences to re-assess ideas of nation and identity. Their work is seen in the context of emerging theatre companies in Canada and the development of techniques such as post-dramatic theatre, physical theatre, and devised theatre.
