This course will explore current research and debates in social sciences (sociology and anthropology) which focus on how digital media and technologies shape and are shaped by society. These are now deeply ingrained in our daily lives and impact numerous aspects, including relationships, work, governance, and political engagement. They have also led to the emergence of new communities while simultaneously introducing new threats like surveillance and cybercrime.
