This course examines some of the defining features of Canadian democracy: elections, parties and voters. It focuses on Canada’s electoral system, election campaigns, the structure, function and role of parties, and factors which influence the preferences of voters. It includes a simulation component where students play the roles of core campaign team members for Canada’s major parties.
