Statistics is a practice or science of collecting and analyzing data in large quantities. Statistics is used in all professions and walks of life. For a business professional in today’s world, it is essential to have a good understanding of the basic concepts of Probability and Statistics. This course introduces fundamentals of statistics with a business perspective.
This course has three parts: Descriptive Statistics, Fundamentals of Probability Theory, and Probability Distributions. Each part must be well understood before attempting the next course in statistics. It is extremely important to do the homework alone, and not in groups. Once you tried to solve the problems, you may wish to compare your solutions with your classmates or request help from the instructor, the Math Help Center, the Business Help Center, or your friends.
