The aim of this course is to offer students the possibility to acquire hands-on experience about how to coach and execute the most common movements in athletic development such as resistance training, Olympic weightlifting, plyometrics, speed, agility/change of direction and metabolic conditioning. Through a series of practical workshops in the fitness center, the gymnasium and on Coulter field, students will learn the biomechanical, physiological, and coaching principles that are essentials to become a successful athletic development coach.
